Psalm 56:8 “You have collected all my tears in your bottle.” NLT
One tear.
No red carpet, no grand proclamation, no fanfare.
Yet there it is–a message pregnant with emotion.
It doesn’t shout nor does it have a voice.
Even so, clearly it has much to say: “I’m here” or “Please care” or “I can’t hide forever.”
But Father God, the One Who sees every detail,
gathers the tear into a noble bottle of remembrance.
There a message of one melds with other kindred treasures preserved by love.
Ah, yes, eternity receives them all,
thereby respecting, honoring, revealing that a single tear carries internal value.
By itself, one drop doesn’t make a pool, much less a scene or much of an impact on anyone or anything else.
A dollop of moisture may be as lonely as the soul harboring it, as singular as the heartbeat behind it.
Nevertheless, it still braves an entrance, because God cares forever and saves its beauty in His bottle of remembrance.
