“Behold” is an elegant word. God is an elegant God.
When we behold God, we immerse ourselves in the moment and treasure His presence.
Ah, yes. God in all His majesty deserves that kind of attention.
Let us be stunned by His beauty, enraptured by His holiness, and captivated by His love.
Let us behold God without any boundaries or barriers.
Let us let go of anything and all that would hinder our abandonment to the greatest Love in all the universe.
So how does one behold Almighty God?
Surely, beholding takes more than a passing glance or a fleeting glimpse.
Beholding invites us to ponder, savor, rest, inquire, receive, trust, adore, and appreciate.
Beholding is a full-stop reflection.
Beholding requires enamored and active attention.
Beholding focuses on the details.
Beholding transforms the beholder through sustained intimacy.
Come away, Beloved, and behold your God!
